About Village Baking Company & Cafe

Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Modesto is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Modesto follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Chocolate Strawberry Parfait cake was fantastic! The chocolate cake was moist and flavorful. Whipped Cream was fresh, light, and just the right amount of sweetness. When I spoke with Gabby she offered to decorate the top to say Happy Birthday. Very creative and much appreciated. This cake is definitely a treat. The bakery had a lot of items to offer. I will definitely return and highly recommend.

OMG! They created the most beautiful cake for my daughter’s graduation party. Every single person at the party agreed. Not only was it stunningly beautiful, it was absolutely delicious. The top layer was chocolate supreme and the bottom layer was chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. I would definitely recommend and I will absolutely be returning. Thanks again :)

This review is only for the princess cake and the macaroons. My daughter got the princess cake first of all. It was extremely hard to bite. It has a vanilla cake and strawberry jelly for filling. The cake was extremely hard and dry and you can tell it was frozen really cold and the macaroons the same thing the coding on them felt extremely dry and old and again you can tell they were frozen, not made fresh at all extremely sweet and if you’re not a fan of weird taste, you can definitely get the macaroons. It’s like eating candy instead of bread. Not worth the $33 for the princess cake and five macaroons.

It was my first time coming in. It was the most awkward transaction of my life lol. Me & my sister were standing there for a good 15 minutes until my sister asked the guy working if he could please get someone. Rolls his eyes at us and muffled something under his breath/mask; proceeded to β€œwash” his hands . Because all he did was a quick rinse it was so gross. And then finally a girl comes up & that’s when the AWKWARDNESS truly began. I told her I’m not familiar/ my first time here. She just kept going all over the place explaining to me after the fact and making me feel stupid about it. This is why chains are winning, it’s sad. Your poor services/staff. Suck and are killing your business. Never will be coming back. I’ll enjoy a coffee at home. Oh and she didn’t even close the lid. It spilled all over my sister. Done.
